A maker of children's cartoons and family entertainment, formerly Genius Brands International and now called Kartoon Studios, it produces shows like Stan Lee's Superhero Kindergarten, Rainbow Rangers, and Shaq's Garage and runs the free Kartoon Channel! streaming service. The company grew out of A Squared Entertainment, founded in 2009 by Andy Heyward and his wife Amy after he sold DIC Entertainment; the "A Squared" name came from their matching first initials, and its logo even played on Einstein's equation as E=A².
