Genmark Diagnostics Inc
A maker of automated lab machines that detect infectious diseases by reading DNA and RNA in patient samples, GenMark's ePlex system lets hospitals run tests like respiratory panels straight from a sample. The technology grew out of DNA-sensing research at Caltech in 1993, and the firm—once called Osmetech—took the GenMark name in 2010. In 2021 the Swiss healthcare giant Roche bought the company to add its testing know-how.
