A maker of rugged, compact action cameras, GoPro builds the small wearable devices people strap to helmets, surfboards, and bike handlebars to capture sports and adventures in high-definition video. Founder Nick Woodman launched the company in 2002 after a surf trip where he rigged a camera to his palm with a rubber band to photograph himself riding waves.
