An environmental services company that helps manufacturing, automotive, and industrial businesses manage their waste: it services parts-cleaning washers, collects and re-refines used motor oil into fresh base oils at its Indianapolis refinery, and handles hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal. It began in 1999 when founder Joe Chalhoub, a former Safety-Kleen employee, partnered with Heritage Environmental Services to spin off its "Crystal Clean" division, aiming to offer an alternative to the sink-on-a-drum parts-cleaning services he knew from his old employer.
