Humanco Acquisition Corp
A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), or "blank check" company, that raises money from investors to find and merge with a private business in the health, wellness, or sustainability space, taking it public. It was formed by HumanCo and the venture firm CAVU, and listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker HMCO in December 2020. Its co-chairman Jason Karp created the clean-eating snack brand Hu after doctors predicted he would go blind, and he credited changing his diet with reversing his illness.
