Huya Inc.
A Chinese live-streaming platform built around video games, often called the "Twitch of China," where viewers watch gameplay and esports tournaments while sending virtual gifts to streamers. It began as a gaming stream inside the social site YY and was spun off as its own company in 2014, later coming under Tencent's control. The name "Huya" honors the rain god of South America's Wayuu people, and outside China the service runs under the brand Nimo TV.
