Inogen Inc
A maker of portable oxygen concentrators, Inogen builds lightweight, battery-powered devices like the Inogen One and Rove that pull oxygen straight from the air, freeing people with COPD and other breathing conditions from heavy tanks. The company was founded in 2001 by three University of California, Santa Barbara students who wanted to help co-founder Alison Bauerlein's grandmother, Mae, get around more easily. The name itself blends innovation, oxygen, and generation—a neat nod to what the machines actually do.
