Jaws Hurricane Acquisition Corp
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank check" firm that raises money to merge with a private business and take it public. Jaws Hurricane was launched in 2021 by billionaire investor Barry Sternlicht, chairman of Starwood Capital Group, and focused on consumer technology in North America. The "Jaws" name comes from Sternlicht's family office, Jaws Estates Capital, while "Hurricane" honors the Hawker Hurricane fighter aircraft. It never found a merger partner and was liquidated.
