A provider of home health care, hospice, and community-based health services across the United States, LHC Group sends nurses, therapists, and aides into patients' homes to help them recover, manage chronic illness, or receive end-of-life care. The company was founded in 1994 in Lafayette, Louisiana, where its name originally stood for "Lafayette Health Care" before it grew into one of the nation's largest home-health organizations. It was later acquired by the health-services arm of UnitedHealth Group.
