Lakeland Bancorp Inc
A community bank holding company from northern New Jersey, Lakeland Bancorp ran Lakeland Bank — a chain serving local families and small businesses. Founded in 1969 by three local businessmen who wanted a hometown lender, the bank's first office was a trailer on Route 23 in Newfoundland. Its name came from the many lakes and reservoirs of the surrounding Highlands region. In 2024 it merged with Provident Financial Services and became part of Provident Bank.
