Lassonde Industries Inc
A North American maker of juices and specialty foods, Lassonde produces ready-to-drink fruit and vegetable juices under brands like Rougemont, plus cranberry sauces, soups, pasta sauces, and fondue broths for grocers and food-service customers. It began in 1918 as a family vegetable cannery in Rougemont, Quebec, started by Aristide Lassonde to help local farmers use their surplus crops, and shifted to apple juice in 1959 under his son Willie. Its home town even lends its name to one of its best-known juice brands.
