A former owner of U.S. infrastructure businesses, Macquarie Infrastructure Holdings ran a portfolio that included Atlantic Aviation (a large network of fixed-base operations for private and corporate aircraft) and Hawaii Gas, which distributes gas across the islands. Formed in 2004 and managed by a subsidiary of Sydney's Macquarie Group, it was named for Lachlan Macquarie, an early governor of New South Wales. After selling its businesses, it merged with Argo Infrastructure Partners in 2022.
