Maxar Technologies Inc
A maker of high-resolution Earth-observation satellites and space hardware, Maxar built the famous WorldView imaging satellites and supplied the sharp satellite pictures used in everything from disaster response to national security. The company was born in 2017 when the Canadian space firm MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates bought the U.S. imagery company DigitalGlobe and rebranded the combined business. Its name is a play on "maximize Earth," reflecting its mission to map the planet from orbit.
