Meyer Burger Technology AG
A Swiss maker of solar energy technology. For decades Meyer Burger built the precision machines — including the industry-standard wafer saws — that other companies used to slice silicon for solar cells, making it the "brand behind the brand." In 2020 it pivoted to producing its own high-efficiency heterojunction solar cells and modules at factories in Germany's "Solar Valley." The company was founded in 1953 by Hans Meyer and Willy Burger, and its name simply joins the two founders' surnames.
