A Chinese online grocery delivery company that pioneered the "distributed mini warehouse" model — small neighborhood warehouses that let it drop fresh produce, meat and dairy at shoppers' doors in as little as half an hour. Founded in 2014 by Xu Zheng, a former Lenovo executive, the brand's Chinese name 每日优鲜 means "fresh every day," which became the playful English name "Missfresh." Its signature trick was scattering tiny "dark store" hubs across dense cities so groceries travel only a short final mile.
