Monument Circle Acquisition Corp

A "blank check" company, or SPAC, formed in 2020 to hunt for a merger target in the media, technology, sports, and entertainment worlds. It was created by Jeffrey Smulyan, the founder of Emmis Communications, and listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker MONCU. Its name comes from Monument Circle, the historic downtown Indianapolis landmark crowned by the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. The company liquidated in December 2022 after failing to complete a business combination.
