N-Able, Inc.
A maker of cloud-based software for Managed Service Providers — the IT firms that look after other businesses' computers and networks — helping them monitor, manage, secure, and back up their customers' systems. It was founded in Ottawa in 2000 by Mark Scott and Gavin Garbutt, later bought by SolarWinds, and spun off in 2021 to become independent again. The name is a playful pun on "enable," and the company even resurrected the original N-able brand when it regained its independence.
