Natwest Group Plc
A major British banking group serving millions of retail, business, and private customers with current accounts, mortgages, loans, and savings. Its name comes from National Westminster Bank, born of a 1968 merger between National Provincial and Westminster banks, and the group rebranded from Royal Bank of Scotland Group in 2020. Its roots reach back to 1727, when the Royal Bank of Scotland was chartered in Edinburgh partly to manage compensation from Scotland's disastrous Darien scheme.
