Nuveen Floating Rate Income Fund
A closed-end investment fund that pools money to buy floating-rate loans — mainly loans made by banks to businesses — so the income it pays can drift upward when interest rates rise. It was created by Nuveen, a Chicago investment firm founded in 1898 by John Nuveen Sr., an immigrant who got his start underwriting municipal bonds. The fund is run by Nuveen Fund Advisors along with Symphony Asset Management, and in 2023 it absorbed three sibling Nuveen income funds in a consolidation.
