Nuveen Credit Strategies Income Fund
A closed-end investment fund that pools money to buy a portfolio of senior secured loans, high-yield corporate debt, and collateralized loan obligations, aiming to pay regular income to its shareholders. It was formed in 2003 and was originally called the Nuveen Multi-Strategy Income & Growth Fund 2. The fund carries the name of John Nuveen Sr., a German immigrant who founded the parent firm in Chicago in 1898 after leaving the wholesale grocery business.
