Osiris Acquisition Corp
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank check" firm that raises money from investors to later buy an existing business. Osiris Acquisition Corp. was incorporated in New York in 2020, sponsored by an investment vehicle managed by Fortinbras Enterprises, and set out to find overlooked consumer, retail, and leisure companies hurt by the pandemic. It never closed a deal, so it redeemed its shares and shut down in 2024, its stock delisting from the New York Stock Exchange. Its name echoes Osiris, the ancient Egyptian god of the afterlife and resurrection.
