Aquaron Acquisition Corp.
A blank-check company — a shell that raises money through an initial public offering specifically to merge with or buy an existing business rather than run one of its own. Formed in 2021 and listed on Nasdaq in 2022, it set out to find a target in the clean-energy world and in 2024 agreed to combine with HUTURE, a Chinese maker of hydrogen-powered vehicles. The twist: a shell with almost no operations of its own is the vehicle by which this brand-new automaker makes its stock-market debut.
