Phoenix Biotech Acquisition Corp.
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank check" firm with no operations of its own, formed in 2021 to raise money and merge with a private healthcare or biotech business to take it public. In 2026 it completed that deal, combining with CERo Therapeutics, an immunotherapy company developing engineered T cell treatments for cancer, and the merged firm now trades on Nasdaq as CERo Therapeutics Holdings. The "Phoenix" in its name nods to the mythical bird that rises from ashes — fitting for a vehicle built to give a private company new life on the public markets.
