A maker of slot machines and casino table games for land-based and online casinos, PlayAGS is best known for its Rakin' Bacon! slots and their plump golden pig mascot named Cornsquealius, who wears a purple top hat and visibly grows fatter as players win. Founded in 2005 as American Gaming Systems to build slot machines for the tribal gaming market, the company later shortened its name to AGS as it expanded beyond its original niche. Its name is simply an acronym of those first three words.
