A maker of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, Archer Aviation builds the Midnight, an all-electric air taxi that carries one pilot and four passengers and is designed to shuttle people on short city trips. Founded in 2018 by Adam Goldstein and Brett Adcock, the company chose the name "Archer" to evoke precision and an upward trajectory.
