Primerica, Inc.
A financial services company that helps middle-income families learn about money and buy insurance, selling term life policies and other products through a network of licensed independent representatives. It grew out of A.L. Williams and Associates, founded in 1977 by a former high school football coach who preached "buy term and invest the difference." The name came from the American Can Company, a packaging firm that rebranded as Primerica in 1987 while moving into finance; the company later became independent after a 2010 spinoff from Citigroup.
