A maker of deep packet inspection gear that lets telecom, cable, and mobile operators see exactly what traffic flows across their networks and manage it in real time. Its flagship product, PacketLogic, was born in Sweden: the company started in 2002 as an Ethernet switch maker in California, then merged with Swedish firm Netintact in 2006 and adopted its bandwidth-management line. The name comes from the Latin word for "tall" or "lofty."
