Arconic Corporation
A maker of lightweight aluminum products, Arconic rolls sheet and plate used in airplanes, cars, and trucks, and makes architectural building systems under the Kawneer brand. It grew out of Alcoa, the company founded in 1888, when Alcoa split in 2016 and then again in 2020. The name blends the letter "A" for its Alcoa heritage with "arc" (progress) and "conic" (iconic), a fitting nod to a firm born from the original American aluminum giant.
