Qep Resources, Inc.
An independent oil and natural gas explorer and producer headquartered in Denver, QEP Resources drilled for crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids in US basins like the Permian in Texas and the Williston in North Dakota. Its roots go back to 1922, and in 2010 parent Questar Corporation spun it off into a separate publicly traded company, with the "QEP" name carrying on the Questar heritage. Fittingly, QEP later followed its parent's path again, being absorbed by Diamondback Energy in 2021.
