Rf Micro Devices Inc
A maker of radio-frequency chips, RF Micro Devices built the power amplifiers and switches that helped cellphones and wireless devices send and receive signals. Founded in 1991 in Greensboro, North Carolina by three former Analog Devices engineers, its name simply described what it did—RF micro devices. In 2015 it merged with rival TriQuint to form Qorvo, which still makes connectivity chips today.
Convertible subordinated note — Merged with TriQuint Semiconductor to form Qorvo on January 1, 2015
