A biopharmaceutical company that developed medicines for brain and nervous-system conditions, best known for ZURZUVAE, the first oral pill approved for postpartum depression, and ZULRESSO, an IV treatment for the same condition. Founded in 2010 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, it started life as Sterogen Biopharma before taking the name Sage, drawn from the Latin "salvere," meaning "to heal." The company was acquired by Supernus Pharmaceuticals in 2025.
