Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc.
A maker and retailer of professional beauty products, Sally Beauty runs thousands of stores worldwide selling hair color, nail supplies, styling tools, and salon gear — offering home shoppers the same pro-grade brands (like Wella and OPI) that stylists use. It began in 1964 when C. Ray Farber opened a cash-and-carry beauty store on Magazine Street in New Orleans, naming it after his daughter, Sally. After years under Alberto-Culver, it became its own public company in 2006, and it also operates the salon-only distributor CosmoProf.
