Shell Midstream Partners LP
A Houston-based pipeline operator that moved crude oil and refined products like gasoline and diesel from production areas to refineries and demand centers across the United States, including the Gulf of Mexico. Formed in 2014 by Royal Dutch Shell as a master limited partnership, its name echoes the Shell brand, which traces to a 19th-century London antique shop that imported seashells. Shell USA bought out the remaining public units in 2022, taking the company private.
