Signature Bank
A New York commercial bank built around "high-touch" service, Signature Bank gave business owners and their senior managers one dedicated banker to call, and even launched "Signet," a blockchain-based digital payments platform. Founded in 2001 by three former Republic National Bank executives who left after that bank was bought by HSBC, it grew to serve customers in states from Connecticut to California. The name itself was the point: personalized attention was meant to be the bank's "signature," its way of standing apart from big, impersonal rivals.
