Wheaton Precious Metals Corp
A Vancouver-based precious metals streaming company that doesn't dig its own mines. Instead, it lends money upfront to miners in exchange for the right to buy a share of their future gold, silver, palladium, and cobalt at bargain prices, then sells it at market rates. It was founded in 2004 as Silver Wheaton by Goldcorp and renamed Wheaton Precious Metals in 2017 once gold joined silver in its portfolio. The "Wheaton" name actually comes from a small silver mine it originally acquired.
