A Danish biopharmaceutical company that builds long-acting versions of existing medicines using its TransCon (transient conjugation) platform, which links a drug to a carrier molecule so it releases slowly in the body. Its approved products include Skytrofa for growth hormone deficiency and Yorvipath for hypoparathyroidism. Founded in Copenhagen in 2007 by entrepreneur Jan Møller Mikkelsen, the company takes its name from the Latin "ascendere," meaning "to climb."
