A Canadian asset manager that specializes in precious metals and critical-materials investing, Sprott runs funds and physical bullion trusts that let everyday investors hold real gold, silver, and platinum without the hassle of storing it themselves. It was founded in 1981 as Sprott Securities by Eric Sprott, a Toronto investor so famously bullish on gold that he earned the nickname "the Gold Bull." The company is simply named after its founder.
