Sunrise Communications AG
A Swiss telecommunications company, Sunrise Communications offers mobile, home internet, and television services to households and businesses across the country, operating one of Switzerland's national networks. It was born in 2001 from the merger of two rivals created during Switzerland's telecom market opening in the 1990s, when railway operator SBB, retailer Migros, and British Telecom all had a hand. The name "Sunrise" was chosen to evoke a fresh start in the newly liberalized market.
