Tc Energy Corporation
A Calgary-based energy infrastructure company that moves natural gas through one of North America's largest pipeline networks, also generating power and storing energy for customers across Canada, the US, and Mexico. It began in 1951 as Trans-Canada Pipe Lines, created by an act of Parliament to carry gas from Alberta to eastern Canada — and its famous "golden weld" at Kapuskasing, Ontario, in 1958 completed what was then the world's longest natural gas pipeline. It dropped "TransCanada" for "TC Energy" in 2019, and in 2024 spun off its oil business, including the Keystone Pipeline, into a separate firm called South Bow.
