Tencent Music Entertainment Group
A Chinese online music and audio entertainment company whose apps — QQ Music, Kugou, Kuwo, and the social karaoke app WeSing — let hundreds of millions of users stream, sing, and share music. It was formed in 2016 when Tencent's music division merged with China Music Corporation, a company started by a former Sina.com lawyer who bought up copyrights to fight music piracy. The name 'Kugou' literally means 'cool dog' in Chinese.
