Terminix Global Holdings Inc
A pest-control company that protects homes and businesses from termites, bed bugs, rodents, and other pests, offering treatments, inspections, and protection plans. It was founded in 1927 in Memphis, Tennessee, when hardwood-floor maker E.L. Bruce set up a research lab to shield his wood products from termite damage. The name comes from the goal to "nix" termites, and in 1955 the company pioneered the first termite protection contract with a guarantee and annual inspections.
