A parent company behind the Office Depot and OfficeMax retail brands, this firm sells office supplies, technology, and workplace solutions to shoppers and businesses across the US and Canada. It began in 1986 when three entrepreneurs opened the first Office Depot store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and grew through a 2013 merger with rival OfficeMax. Its ads famously used the Bachman-Turner Overdrive anthem "Takin' Care of Business," and it renamed itself The ODP Corporation in 2020 to match its stock ticker symbol.
