Total System Services Inc

A payment technology company that runs the "plumbing" behind credit, debit, and prepaid card transactions, processing payments for banks and businesses around the world. It began in 1959 as a credit card department inside Columbus Bank and Trust in Columbus, Georgia, and was spun off in 1983. Its name comes from "The Total System," the bank's own card-processing software, and it later merged with Global Payments in 2019.
