A Pennsylvania bank holding company headquartered in Mount Carmel, UNB Corp is the parent of UNB Bank, a community bank serving customers in Northumberland, Columbia, and Snyder counties with checking, savings, and loan products. The bank traces its roots to 1894, when local businessman Thomas M. Righter and eleven partners founded the Mount Carmel Banking Company, reorganized in 1906 as The Union National Bank of Mount Carmel. In 1993 a fire destroyed the bank's landmark building, yet it reopened in a temporary location just nine days later and later rebuilt on the same corner.
