Vectren Corp

A utility holding company that delivers natural gas and electricity to homes and businesses across Indiana and Ohio, serving roughly a million customers through its Vectren Energy Delivery subsidiaries. It was born in 1999 from the merger of Indiana Energy Inc. and SIGCORP, the Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company, and the new name "Vectren" was coined for the combined firm. In 2018 the company was acquired by Houston-based CenterPoint Energy, though its local utility operations still carry the Vectren name.
