Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc
A maker of commercial spaceflight services, Virgin Galactic sells suborbital space trips to paying passengers aboard its SpaceShipTwo spaceplane, which is carried aloft by a WhiteKnightTwo mothership and released to soar past the edge of space. The company grew out of Richard Branson's Virgin Group, formed in 2004 to turn the privately built SpaceShipOne rocket plane into a passenger business. In 2021 the founder himself flew aboard the craft on a test mission, becoming one of the first customers of the company he helped create.
