Vista Energy, S.a.b. De C.v.
A Latin American oil and gas company that explores for and produces crude oil, natural gas, and liquefied petroleum gas, with its main operations in the Vaca Muerta shale formation in Argentina. Founded in 2017 by Miguel Galuccio, a former CEO of Argentina's state energy company YPF, it was originally called Vista Oil & Gas before renaming to Vista Energy in 2022. Fun fact: its home turf, Vaca Muerta, is Spanish for "Dead Cow" — a name that predates the modern energy boom and comes from a nearby mountain range.
