A Swedish maker of heavy trucks, buses, and construction equipment, Volvo Group builds the big machines that move goods and people around the world, with brands including Volvo Trucks, Mack, and Renault Trucks. It was founded in 1927 in Gothenburg, when the first Volvo car rolled off the line on April 14 of that year. The name comes from Latin, meaning "I roll," a nod to the company's rolling vehicles.
