Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc

A global pharmacy and health retailer whose stores dispense prescriptions and sell everyday health, beauty, and convenience goods under familiar names like Walgreens, Boots, and Duane Reade. The company grew out of a single Chicago drugstore opened in 1901 by Charles Walgreen, who borrowed the pharmacy name from his former employer. In 2014 it merged with the European drugstore chain Alliance Boots, pairing America's corner drugstore with Britain's beloved Boots brand. Its Boots stores are known for turning the classic "well" into a home remedy for generations of shoppers.
