An oilfield services giant that supplies equipment and technology for drilling, completing, and maintaining oil, gas, and geothermal wells around the world, working in dozens of countries. It began in 1941 as the Weatherford Spring Company, a small Texas tool shop founded by engineer Jesse E. Hall, who invented casing centralizers to keep well liners centered during cementing. Its name comes from the town of Weatherford, Texas, and its founder's son later launched the famous Jess Hall's Seasoned Salt brand.
